8 Octavia, the Saitowitz-designed building under construction at Market and Octavia being developed by DDG and DM Development, has been in the works for years, and renderings of the complex have been around for almost as long as the project has been talked about. However, up until now, it wasn't exactly clear what the building would really look like once completed, as the previous images provided by the architect always seemed a tad too fanciful. All that has changed thanks to the folks over at Kilograph. What we see today looks far more realistic, and considerably more refined. The building's form hasn't changed, but the colors of certain pieces of the facade have gotten darker and the building's base has gotten simpler and glassier. There are also brand new in-progress renderings of what the units will look like inside, and unsurprisingly the style mirrors the modern, almost brutalist look of the exterior. The new images also make the building's target buyers quite obvious, since both a Porsche and a Google bus make appearances in the images. If all goes according to plan, the project should be completed by late 2014.
