Destruction at Bush and Franklin, Highrise to Rise in its Place

New, 1 comment

The destruction of 1450 Franklin Street, former home to Cars Dawydiak, has hit full-speed this week, making way for a condo tower approved since 2008. The new tower, located at the nexus of Lower Pac Heights and Civic Center, will rise 13 stories and feature 69 units with parking and retail at the bottom. The original plans were for 10 studios, 21 one-bedroom and 38 two-bedroom units, but that layout may be altered before we see this one completed. New renderings have not yet been released, so for the meantime we will have settle for the tangled mess of concrete and rebar currently accumulating at the site.
