Just as we suspected, Yahoo is indeed opening an office in the tech-trendy Mid-Market neighborhood. A deal has formally been announced for a 3-floor, 70,000 sq. ft. lease at 110 5th Street, more commonly known as the San Francisco Chronicle Building. Yahoo plans to increase its staff of engineers with the new space "that allows employees to avoid lengthy commutes down Highway 101" to their main campus in Sunnyvale.
