The explosion of development in Dogpatch continues in the form of 2121 3rd Street, near the corner of 18th. This 6-story rental building has hit roughly the halfway point in construction and is beginning to outline its final shape. When completed the structure will feature 105 studio-, 1- and 2-bedroom units over 80 parking spaces. Per the new norm, the building will feature high-end amenities including a landscaped courtyard, rooftop deck, yoga studio, and an 1,150 sq. ft. demonstration kitchen. The developments location near the Pier 70 historic conversion site, Mission Bay jobs and adjacent to light rail should make this building a hit when it becomes available. Expect a leasing office in the winter as the building aims for occupancy in early 2014.
