Mexican Museum Tower Watch

New, 2 comments

On Tuesday, the board of Supervisors unanimously approved the 480 foot Mexican Museum Tower, triggering what could end up being a long and nasty fight over shadows and height limits in San Francisco. Residents of the Four Seasons are planning to prepare a ballot measure that would require voter approval on buildings over 40 feet that cast shadows on city parks. Furthermore, they plan to sue the Board of Supervisors for violating 1984's Proposition K (which already set strict shadow guidelines) as well as other environmental and historical violations.
