Mission Bay Family Housing

An 80-room building to house families with hospitalized children has been approved to start construction next summer in Mission Bay. Known as the "Nancy and Stephen Grand Family House", the 30,000 sq. ft. building will provide shelter for over 140 family members of "children undergoing treatment for cancer and other life-threatening illnesses." The $40 million project is scheduled to open about 1 year after the new UCSF Medical Center. [San Francisco Business Times/Curbed SF]
