Residents of The Four Seasons, miffed at the prospect of a new 47-story condo tower and museum being built nearby, have threatened to initiate a ballot referendum if the tower planners do not reduce the height. The measure would "prohibit buildings over 40 feet tall that cast shadows on parks, unless approved by voters on a citywide ballot." Dubiously labeled "let the sun shine on our parks," we are all quite certain it has nothing to do with the fact that the planned 480-foot tower would block views in the existing 430-foot tall Four Seasons tower.
