Parklets have been very popular in San Francisco and Oakland, and now Berkeley is trying to get in on the action. The Berkeley City Council is working on a 3-year pilot program that will allow up to 10 parklets in commercial areas of the city, however concerns abound by local citizens. One of those concerns "is the loss of city revenue a parklet might cause" by removing a parking meter. Wait, some Berkeley residents don't want a parking meter removed to make way for a new park?
