FINANCIAL DISTRICT—June continues to be flush with openings, starting with MKT, the newly revamped restaurant at the Four Seasons. Steaks, cocktails, a newspaper theme: we've got photos and a menu.

BAY AREA—Where can you find out where to eat, like, now? The Eater Heatmap, of course! It got a big update for June, with eight new spots. Or perhaps you'd prefer to view it on the brand-new Eater app? It's now available for iOS and Android.

THE MISSION—When it opens tomorrow, new steakhouse The Palace, from Manny Torres Gimenez of Mr. Pollo and Roxy's Cafe fame, may end up being one of the best deals in SF with its $50 tasting menu and BYOB status. See photos and the menu.

SOMA—Iconic brunch spot Dottie's True Blue Cafe is turning 20 this month. We sat down with owner Kurt Abney, who still works the line five days a week, to talk about developing as a chef, neighborhood characters, and getting older in a physically demanding industry.

BAY AREA—Other big openings this week: Turtle Tower is back in action on Larkin, Oakland's Toast has been revamped with a new menu and full liquor, Berkeley's Fournee offers bread and pastries from a former SF Baking Institute instructor, and Palio Pronto is serving up to-go pizza to FiDi workers.

TENDERLOIN—Beer palace Mikkeller Bar has a chef and is plotting a July 4 debut; they shared a tentative food menu and draft beer list (and the latter blew our minds).

DOGPATCH—Also coming along nicely: new bar Third Rail, from the team behind Range, in the former Retox space in the Dogpatch. They told us about their plans and shared a tentative cocktail menu.
