More Frequent Farm Fresh

SF loves its farmers markets, but current city codes only allow each market location to operate once a week. If today's Supervisor vote passes, markets will be allowed to operate for more than one day per week, but they'll have to multiply the permit fees by number of days to cover it. Current single-day farmers market permit fees run $475 for six months, so a market could now pay $950 to operate twice a week, for example. [SF BOS/photo: Chris Schrier]
