Way back in 2009 we brought you word that 1501 15th Street at South Van Ness was seeking approval to construct an ultramodern 6-story residential building designed by local favorite Stanley Saitowitz (who also designed Octavia Gateway and 1243 Howard, among others). Fast forward to present day, and construction of the now 5-story building with 40 units is moving right along. When completed the structure will house eight studios, eight 1-bedrooms and twenty four 2-bedrooms, along with 39 off-street parking spaces and over 9,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail. No word on pricing or a completion date yet.
