The screening at 530 Folsom Street is being removed, revealing the façade of what will soon be the first completed project of the Transbay Redevelopment Area, according to the Community Housing Partnership, who is developing the site in conjunction with BRIDGE Housing. The 8-story building at the corner of Folsom and Essex will feature 120 units (108 studios, 12 1-bedrooms) reserved for the formerly homeless. 2 market-rate retail spaces will occupy the ground floor, adjacent to sidewalks that are being widened to accommodate the expected increase in foot traffic. Expect to see this building go live in late 2013.
