Deadheads are distraught over the potential name change of the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater in McLaren Park. In an effort to bring 50 free concerts to the barely used outdoor venue, Rec and Park is considering a deal that would require changing the name to "The Levitt Pavilion San Francisco at Jerry Garcia Meadows." Levitt Pavilions is a nonprofit that renovates and manages concerts at outdoor venues, and one of their funding requirements is having their name be a part of the venue's. [SFGate]
