While not nearly as alluring as previous designs for this 5,200 sq. ft. parcel near the corner of Market and Franklin streets, 1600 Market has risen to its full height and general shape. The Hayes Valley project will feature 24 below market rate units (satisfying requirements for the also under construction 1960 Market Street) and over 3,600 sq. ft. of retail. No parking will be built for this property, as it's adjacent to Muni's Market Street subway tunnel and several bus lines. Completion of the building is expected later this year, and there's no word yet on pricing.
