The latest rental development in the Tenderloin has a name: The Lofts at Seven. The building is located at 277 Golden Gate Avenue, and used to be home to KGO-TV Channel 7's West Coast broadcasting facilities. Developer Dolmen Property Group transformed the building into 88 loft and studio rentals, which encourages potential renters to "live urban" and "live connected." The location's within walking distance of hot tech offices like Twitter, Dropbox, Yammer, and Square, as well as UC Hastings College of the Law and an Academy of Art University. Because of that, residences were "designed with the young professional in mind." That means there's hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and chrome fixtures in the bathroom. The building's on schedule to open in July. It features 31 studios, 12 junior one bedrooms, and 45 split-level one bedroom lofts. Studios range from 276 square feet to 450 square feet, junior one bedrooms range from 400 to 525 square feet, and lofts range from 400 to 850 square feet. Building amenities include a 6,500 square foot landscaped roof deck with an outdoor cinema and underground parking and bike storage.
