Hot off the presses, California Pacific Medical Center has released renderings for the revised St. Lukes and Cathedral Hill projects. As you recall, after a long cantankerous stand-off over the CPMC master plan, the hospital agreed to increase capacity at their St. Lukes campus in the Mission and reduce the size of the proposed new Cathedral Hill campus. The changes to the project are subtle - removing a floor here, adding a floor there - and the general SmithGroupJJR Architects design remains the same. Other elements of the new deal include a $14M contribution to help build transit facilities near the Cathedral Hill project and a $9M fund help increase capacity at local community clinics and health care providers. Now that all the feuding parties have reached a happy compromise, CPMC is crossing their fingers that construction can finally begin by the end of the year.
