Castro Street Redesign

The Planning Department will share its final concept design plans for Castro Street at an open house tomorrow night. The project is five years in the making, and aims to make the two blocks of Castro between Market and 19th streets and the area around Jane Warner Plaza a safer, more attractive and more comfy place for the thousands of pedestrians travelling along the corridor each day. To get a first look at the plans and speak your mind, head over to the Market and Noe Center on Tuesday between 7 and 9pm. - Laura Tepper [SFGate/photo via DavidSweetPhotography]
