SOMA Hotel Drama-rama

The brouhaha between hotel developers at 250 Fourth Street and SOMA neighborhoods groups continued at yesterday's Planning Commission meeting. Despite the boatloads of speakers in opposition to the project due to its location in the SOMA Youth and Family Special Use District, commissioners cited the shortage of hotels in SF and the positives that'll come from the project, like jobs, neighborhood fund contributions, and street activity to deter crime. In the end, it was approved unanimously. [SF Gov/Previously on Curbed SF]
