Variable Messages for SF?

Part of SF's Van Ness Corridor overhaul is a plan to install display variable message signs that display electronic "real-time space information for city-owned parking garages and disseminate street event information." Hayeswire reports they will go up on the east side of Franklin Street, north of the Linden Street intersection, as well as at Gough and Turk. Because you simply can't please all the people, all the time, some neighbors welcome the change; others hate it. [Hayeswire]
