The $18.8M affordable housing project at the empty Hugo Hotel (yes, the one with the furniture bolted to the sides of the building) at Sixth and Howard is moving forward. In January, San Francisco signed a preliminary contract with Mercy Housing to build a nine-story, 67-unit affordable housing project on the site. The project goes before the Planning Department in April. [SF Examiner/photo via Whole Wheat Toast]
