Can You Panhandle It?

It's quite clear that the San Francisco rental market is hot, hot, hot right now, so here at Curbed we're going to bring you a bevy of rental properties each week for your perusal. This week we took a look at properties near the Panhandle of Golden gate Park -- great for those who like running, biking, and general merriment.

1 bedroom: This one-bedroom plus den on Hayes Street seems like a pretty good deal at $1,800 for all that space. You're near the action on Divis and just a few blocks from the Panhandle. The apartment itself looks nice and clean and we love the green paint in the bedroom, though we wish there were a few more windows in the unit. No parking or laundry, but there's a shared garden and the building allows pets. [craigslist]

2 bedroom: This unit is right on Fell Street on the Panhandle -- which means views of trees out your window and probably some pee on your doorstep during Bay to Breakers. For $3,600 you'll be on top floor with large windows galore and lovely hardwood floors. No parking or laundry, but there is secure bike storage and the management pays for about one hundred different kinds of recycling. Check for noise on Fell, but the windows are new as long as you close your windows to the fog, street noise should be minimal. [craigslist]

6 bedroom: If you're in the market for a 6-bedroom, 5-bathroom house (and who isn't?) we'd recommend this one right on the Panhandle for $17,500. It's straight up gorgeous for all four levels, with high ceilings, tons of light and seriously upscale touches. Parking and storage is included, as well as care for the simple, green backyard. Both the dining room and the master bedroom have a full bar, so you know this place is made for entertaining. We're free for house-sitting any time. [ReLISTO]
