Designed by Julius Krafft and built in 1902, the historic Hellman Mansion at 2020 Jackson in Pacific Heights has finally sold. The 8-bed, 7-bath mansion first appeared on the market in September of 2011 asking $20,000,000. The home took some price chops and was even delisted. It came back on the market in November of 2012 asking $14,900,000. In mid-January it went into contract, and last night it sold for $12,750,000. We should mention that it last sold in 2004 for $15,000,000. Ouch.
The 11,500 square foot abode has four levels, each accessible by elevator. Property highlights include 7 fireplaces, au pair suite, main and catering kitchens, media room, family room, wine cellar, salon and library. The home also played host to the 35th Annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase just last year. Congrats to the lucky buyer, and do invite us to the housewarming party.
