It's been a while since we last checked in on 8 Octavia, Stanley Saitowtz's glass-lined beauty at the Central Freeway's entry point to the city. The building has reached the seventh floor and the basic shape and feel of the project is now apparent at street level. Glass panel installation has begun along the lower levels of the Octavia Street frontage, although without Saitowitz's signature window panes jutting from the facade it's difficult to tell just how true to the rendering the final project will be. Construction is on track to finish up late next year, but expect pricing info and pre-sales well before then.
