With rental and home prices rising rapidly in the East Bay, developer Avalon Bay has drafted plans to develop a 260-unit, eight-floor rental building. Located near the Ashby exit off Interstate 80, the building will be a mix of studio to three-bedroom units, ranging from 770 to 1,525 square feet. Would-be renters can expect an abundance of amenities and the location provides walking access to Aquatic Park. Avalon Bay has been extra busy of late with two large projects currently underway in the city: the nearly complete 55 Ninth Street and the early-stage Parcel P in Hayes Valley. They also have projects underway at 651 Addison and Powell at Hollis in the East Bay, which they acquired after purchasing developer Archstone.
