Another day, another $200,000 cost overrun for the Central Subway project. The latest bill is for the discovery and subsequent removal of a pre-earthquake church foundation at the site of the former Pagoda theater, now a staging area for subway construction. A piece of the foundation was given to the church relocated to Van Ness and Green sometime after the 1906 earthquake. [SF Examiner]
