1050 Valencia Fight Back Before the Board of Supervisors

New, 4 comments

The neighborhood battle royale over 1050 Valencia is set to continue at today's Board of Supervisor hearing. As you recall, the proposed 55-ft, 5-story, 12-unit building with no car parking was approved last September, but the Liberty Hill Neighborhood Association is appealing the project's environmental review (as well as the actual project approvals, which is heard by the Board of Appeals). It was scheduled to go before the Supes on October 22, but Supervisor Wiener, whose district includes the project site, was absent and he asked for the project to be continued until he could be there. Both sides of the appeal agreed, so here we are. This contentious project has been cooking since 2007; hopefully there'll be some resolution today.
