Fears that Ellis Act evictions are on the rise in San Francisco are supported with new statistical evidence today. A city report shows evictions "jumped by 170 percent from the year ending February 2010 to the year ending February 2013." Most of the evictions are taking place in a handful of neighborhoods (The Mission, Russian Hill, etc.) where property values have increased by up to 30 percent. [Curbed SF/SFGate]
