The long debated Nob Hill Masonic Center is one step away from finally getting the approvals needed to permit their current legal nonconforming entertainment use. As you recall, the Masonic Center has been hosting events like concerts and cultural performances since 1958 and wants to make some interior alterations to allow for bigger (and more) events, but hit a road block when neighbors protested the increase in noise and traffic. Now a compromise has been reached, and it's up to tomorrow's Planning Commission hearing to make the deal final. [SF Planning]
