345 Brannan Project Aiming to Bring More Office Space to SoMa

The latest project in the SoMa office boom is heading before the Planning Commission tomorrow. Designed by Charles Bloszies, 345 Brannan will be a five-story, 65-foot building with 102,585 square feet of office space. There'll also be some off-street parking and the requisite roof deck and green roof. To appease stakeholders in the area, the project sponsors have agreed to add a parklet in the area in front of the existing Brannan Street curb cut. Since the existing surface parking lot site is a block away from South Park, the Commission also needs to approve a study that found there won't be more shadows on the park. The design was tweaked over the past year due to neighbor input, and Planning staff is giving the thumbs up, so it looks like smooth sailing.
