Drama Over Potrero Project Kicks Up a Level to Supervisors

New, 1 comment

Curbed has covered the drama of a proposed housing development at 480 Potrero in the past, and now the opposition is bringing the project up before the Board of Supervisors. Despite a failed appeal to the Planning Commission over the level of environmental review, opponents have gone to the next level and appealed the Planning decision to the Supes. As you recall, the proposal includes a six-story, 77 unit residential building on a vacant lot, but was appealed due to objections over the "adverse effect on a scenic vista," inevitable increase in population, and discord with the "character with the neighborhood." The BOS will hear the final appeal today, and their ruling will the be the last word on the project.
