We all love Golden Gate Park and Dolores Park, but did you know San Francisco has over 220 parks and open spaces? Curbed SF wants to bring fame and glory to some of the smaller, lesser-known parks, and we're doing so with our series Park Life. Each week we'll spotlight a different San Francisco park or open space, and bring you all the details you need to plan a visit.

Located in the southeastern section of San Francisco sits a beautiful multi-sport facility, The Sliver Terrace Playground. This recently renovated facility is jam-packed with athletic options that will appeal to those of all ages and at most times of day, as well as a clubhouse and lawn for those who see the park as a more relaxing experience. Where it's located: On Silver Terrace near the intersection of Bayshore Boulevard in the Silver Terrace neighborhood.

What it features: Lighted artificial turf field with soccer lines, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, a tennis court, a children's play area, stadium seating, community clubhouse and an open lawn.

How to get there: Several fabulous Muni bus lines are available including the 8x/8AX/8BX, 44, ad 9/9L.

Dogs allowed?: Dogs are allowed on-leash, but this would not be considered an especially dog-friendly facility.

Don't miss: A chance to play a pick-up soccer match on what many Yelpers refer to as "a sweet soccer field." The great condition of the field and the fact that the lights stay on until 10pm seems to be the biggest draw to this once rundown green space.
