Rockridge Sound Walls

A proposal to construct sound walls along a stretch of Highway 24 is being discussed by residents of the affluent Rockridge area in Oakland. Several studies will be required before any walls can be erected, studies that could cost upwards of $1.5 million. The project is currently considered lower priority than other neighborhood improvements such as bicycle lanes and revamped crosswalks. [Inside Bay Area]
