Two $799K SoMa Lofts Square Off in the Deathcage

New, 4 comments

Imagine you have $799K to spend on a place and you've narrowed it down to two SoMa lofts. How do you make up your mind? The answer is simple: you shove them into a metaphorical cage and let them battle it out until one emerges victorious. It's time for Real Estate Deathmatch.

Address: 60 Rausch St. at Folsom St. / 638 Minna St. at 7th St.
Price: $799K / $799K
Monthly HOA: $459 / $505
Square Footage: 1,326 / 1,519
Beds, Baths: 2-bed, 1.5-bath / 2-bed, 2.5-bath
Parking? 1-car parking in the garage / 1-car parking in the garage

? This loft is located in a safer area of SoMa, and the building has more curb appeal that its competition. That said, it has less bathrooms and is smaller. While we love the wood-burning fireplace and the natural light, that galley kitchen seems awfully tight.

? Sure, the area's more dangerous than its competition, but it's also within walking distance of Mid-Market where all the hot shot tech companies like Twitter and Square are located. It's also a tri-level loft, though one of the levels seems like it has unusually low ceilings. It has not one but two fireplaces.
