SPUR, an organization well known for promoting green urban development practices, will be presenting "Greener and Better Roofs: A Roadmap for San Francisco" at the Cities Alive conference being held this week at the Marriott Marquis' Executive Conference Center. The think tank's new plan focuses on eight key recommendations designed to encourage San Franciscans to install green roofs, such as streamlining the application and permitting process and pushing government officials to implement incentives for building them. SPUR hopes that the plan will ensure that our fair City by the Bay, known worldwide as a capital of environmentally friendly practices and green technology, will continue to top the list of the greenest cities in North America.
