Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, where we scour the San Francisco's rental listings to see what your monthly budget will get you across the city. This week, we're investigating apartments listed for $3,200/month, which gives you one and two bedrooms to choose from. Which rental stands out from the rest? You tell us what looks like the most bang for your buck.
? In Upper Market, this two bedroom, two bathroom is asking $3,195/month. The kitchen is renovated with counter space galore, and opens onto the living area. There are carpet and vertical blinds in the bedrooms to contend with, but the highlight of the unit is its private balcony with sweeping views of Noe Valley. Storage space is included in the rent and it's pet-friendly.
? In Nob Hill, this $3,150/month one bedroom is classic San Francisco. Located in a Victorian with a quaint lobby, the unit's living room has a curved bay window and great light. There's hardwood throughout, and a "bonus room" off the bedroom - an oversized walk-in closet with a window. Both the kitchen and the bathroom have been renovated, and there's on-site laundry.
? In the Lower Haight, this small but sleek one bedroom is going for $3,200/month. The unit packs substantial designer finishes into its 600 square feet, with European-style cabinetry in the kitchen and tile in the bathroom. The space also includes a bay window for a touch of nostalgia.
? In SoMa, this two bedroom is slightly over-budget at $3,250/month. The kitchen and bathrooms have been nicely renovated, but are small. In fact, it looks like all the rooms are small, especially the living area - which is shared with the kitchen. But the two bedrooms are rare for this price point and the neighborhood.
? In Pacific Heights, this large one bedroom is going for $3,195/month. The remodeled kitchen is small but opens onto an adjacent eat-in area. The bedroom and living room both look large - the unit is nearly 1,000 square feet - and although they are adjacent to each other, a foyer space with extra storage gives the unit some additional breathing room. There's parking available in the building, but it will cost you - $350/month extra. And your pets are not allowed.
