Shiny New Renderings from Starchitect BIG for 950-974 Market

New, 2 comments

Formerly known as the '950 Center for Arts and Education,' the newest Mid-Market development at 950-974 Market Street has scored international firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) as their architect. San Francisco-based real estate development company Group I is heading the project, which plans have been refined to include a 250-room hotel, 316 residential units, a 75,000-square-foot arts complex, and 15,000 square feet of retail. The Copenhagen-based BIG was dubbed the "rock-star Danish architecture firm" last year by Fast Company magazine and is big in Europe (pun definitely intended), but has yet to break ground in SF.
