Changes Brewing for the Haight's Wiggle Bike Route

New, 4 comments

There's been a slew of efforts lately to make route containing The Wiggle friendly to bicyclists, pedestrians, and drivers alike. The Wiggle has undergone a few improvements to the bike lanes, and now the SFMTA, SFPUC, and SFDPW are working together to plan traffic calming and greening measures along the route. Main goals include stormwater rain gardens, new bulbouts, raised crosswalks that would act like speed bumps, and possibly a traffic circle at Page & Scott or converting one block of Scott into one-way traffic. Once they collect some public feedback, hopefully plans will be hammered out by this winter. Have an opinion? Share your thoughts on the project website.
