Former Home of Senator Feinstein in Presidio Heights Lists

New, 1 comment

The former home of Senator Dianne Feinstein that is now owned by the Senator's daughter and son-in-law is on the market for $9.95M. The Tudor-revival home at 30 Presidio Terrace, which was bought under a family trust in 1985, boasts five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and clocks in at 8,200-square-feet. It also has a solarium, pub room, a library, and eight fireplaces. The Senator's daughter, Judge Katherine Feinstein, told the Wall Street Journal that they're selling the home because it's too big for just two people. Their daughter, Eileen, is in college. "It's gotten too big for us, it's just me and my husband," she said. Senator Feinstein grew up across the street from the home and always wanted to live in it. "She has loved this house since 1945 and I've told her it's just too much house for us right now and she said 'You know, life is short, be happy'," said Judge Feinstein. "Times change, life moves on, a family should live there. It's a great house to raise a family in."
