Oakland Coliseum Development

An investment team that includes one of the world's largest real estate companies, a former aerospace CEO from Dubai and a master-planning team from Oakland, have formed to lead the hopeful development of the Coliseum complex. They want to partner with as many of Oakland's major sports teams as possible to redevelop the 800-acre site into a sports and entertainment complex. Oakland's Mayor Quan hopes "to see a family-oriented venue that included a bowling alley, roller skating rink, shops, bars, homes and a high-end hotel." [Inside Bay Area/rendering via JRDV Architects]
