SF Gate covers the ongoing mystery of who will take over the Palace of Fine Arts space now that the Exploratorium has vacated, highlighting the shed building's history as indoor tennis courts and a storage depot. Last week's post on the future of the site solicited some interesting proposals from Curbed readers—everything from a SFMOMA annex to tearing down the old shed building and turning it into more park space. There was some rumormongering of Sports Basement moving in now that their Presidio Commissary location's lease is up, but turns out they're moving into the buildings next to the Palace of Fine Arts.
