It's quite clear that the San Francisco rental market is hot, hot, hot right now, so here at Curbed we're going to bring you a bevy of rental properties each week for your perusal. This week, we looked at homes in or near Sea Cliff, and found some great options to let you rub elbows with the other half.
Budget: For $2,000, you get 2 bedrooms on the top floor, at the edge of the neighborhood at 27th and California. We like the open kitchen with raised oven -- no more bending over to see if your cookies are done! Parking is an extra $100 per month if you want to get off the street, and bring your quarters for the in-building laundry. Watch out to see if bus noise from the 1-California makes it in, but otherwise we think this is a great deal. [craigslist]
Middle of the Road: If you're into a desert color palette, then this 2-bedroom for $2,495 has your peachy name written all over it. Yes, yes, we know that 24th and California is a a few blocks east of the real Sea Cliff (three, to be exact) but there wasn't much in the middle range for this hood. We still think you'll enjoy the new carpet, spa-like bath, and gleaming kitchen just as much as if it were on 27th. There's laundry on site, and parking is available, for a price. There's a photo of the roof, so we're hoping roof deck, though it doesn't really look like it. We'll cross our fingers for you. [craigslist]
Luxury: Unsurprisingly, there were quite a few option in the area over the the high-water mark -- there's a lot of money here and a lot of single family homes. This 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath house at 28th and Lake is $8,900, and it caught our eye for a few reasons: an in-law unit for childcare, a lush backyard for children or plant enthusiasts, and the availability of a wood-burning fireplace (for when we don't care to spare the air). This is in true, honest-to-goodness Sea Cliff, so don't be surprised if you walk out the front door and think you've been transported to paradise/suburbia. [craigslist]
