Tired of dodging the riffraff as you drive down 6th Street toward Highway 280? Maybe instead of an on-ramp, we'll soon have a new neighborhood there. SFGate tells us that Mayor Lee's office is considering a plan to "knock down I-280 before 16th Street -eliminating the ramps both at Sixth and Brannan streets and at Fourth and King streets [to be] replaced by a street-level boulevard akin to those built after the Embarcadero and Central freeways were knocked down."
