Rent in Curbed Cup-Winning Lower Haight

It's quite clear that the San Francisco rental market is hot, hot, hot right now, so here at Curbed we're going to bring you a bevy of rental properties each week for your perusal. This week, we looked long and hard for rentals in the Lower Haight. Boy are they hard to find! We found these three, and yes, we know Oak Street is borderline, but it's as close to the Lower Haight as a newbie is going to get.

"Budget": Ah, a studio for $1,795, we still think that's ludicrous. But them's the shakes in San Francisco these days, so here we go. This cute little studio is on Page and Fillmore, just one block up from the action. The main room has some great vintage detailing, a bay window, and a big closet. The cooking part of the kitchen is quite small but there is a place for a table, so you don't have to eat every meal in bed. Extra storage is a plus, but there's no parking. [craigslist]

Middle of the Road: This one bedroom for $2,295 is on the border of Alamo Square and Lower Haight on Oak and Pierce, which means you get two great neighborhoods for the price of one. We love the remodeled kitchen, the claw foot tub, and the natural light on the hardwood floors. The bedroom looks small, so it might not cut it if you have a California King. Laundry is a few doors down, but no parking and no pets, so you'll have to make friends with the dog owners up at the park to get in your animal time. [craigslist]

Luxury: Penthouse, please! This 2-bedroom for $3,200 is also on Oak, at Fillmore. It's been recently remodeled and we dig the built-ins and quirky ceiling maneuvers. There's "high-tech" laundry (we're crossing our fingers for Rosie from the Jetsons) and a shared deck and yard as well. [craigslist]
