The Board of Supervisors will once again vote on the 8 Washington Project this afternoon. Since the Telegraph Hill Dwellers got their 31,000 signatures to put a referendum on the ballot that would reject the proposed 136-foot height limit, State law forces the board to hold a new public hearing on their decision and then vote on whether to reverse their 8-3 approval. If they don't change their approval, the referendum goes on the ballot. Opponents are threatening "a long, loud, and costly battle" if the Supes don't switch their votes. The hearing starts to day at 3pm at City Hall. [City Insider/Curbed SF]
