Here Now, the First Renderings for the Mission Bay Kids' Park

New, 5 comments

[Renderings via Mission Bay Families] The renderings for the proposed Mission Bay Kids' Park have been released. The 1.2 acre park is a triangular shape along China Basin and Long Bridge streets. The playground design is based on resident feedback from a workshop that happen in late June. Rubber matting and wood chips are proposed for the park, but local residents commented that kids these days aren't into wood chips and would avoid playing on them. The park will be surrounded by trees and have plenty of diverse foliage to keep the little ones interested in plant life. Construction could start as early as the December and the completion date is not yet known.
