Top Three Residential Property Sales for the Past Seven Days

Listed for: $3,310,000
Received: $2,942,000
Size: 3-bed, 3-bath, 2,005 sq. ft. condo
Location: Unit 18D at 219 Brannan Street, South Beach
The skinny: This particular unit happens to be the largest penthouse and largest unit at The Brannan. This penthouse has a sad past. It first sold in December of 2000 for $3,980,000, then in 2005 it was listed for $2,900,000 (ouch) and only received $2,810,000 (more ouches), and now this. We wonder what it'll take for this unit to actually provide a return on the buyer's investment.

Listed for: $6,900,000
Received: $4,500,000
Size: Roughly 6-bed, 4.75-bath
Location: 950 Lombard, Russian Hill
The skinny: You can read our previous post here about this property when it first hit the market in late March of this year. The sale is for two lush parcels, one of which has a Willis Polk-designed brown single 5-bedroom home on it. The other property is a 1-bed cottage complete with sauna and sunken spa. The listing tells us that the seller has obtained a site permit to renovate and explain the "now dilapidated main house" to approximately 4,300 square feet.

Listed for: $5,250,000
Received: $4,999,000
Size: 2-bed, 3-bath co-op
Location: #1003 at 1750 Taylor Street, Russian Hill
The skinny: This is a pretty prestigious unit in the highly coveted Royal Towers building high atop Russian Hill. It's on the 10th floor, so it has views of Alcatraz, the North Bay, East Bay, FiDi, and south across the city to Twin Peaks. This unit is a combination of the southeast and southwest corner units.
