The city is looking for a development team to build 580 units of market-rate and affordable housing in the Transbay district. The property is a 31,000-square-foot site on Folsom Street between First and Essex Streets, and will include a 400-foot tower and a shorter podium building (with 20% affordable units), and retail on the ground floor along Folsom Street next to the proposed Oscar Park. The money generated from the sale will help pay for the $4.2 billion Transbay Terminal project. [SF Business Times/Curbed SF]
