While tech companies flock to San Francisco to lease up all available square footage, some big companies aren't as happy with doing business in San Francisco. Today we learn that Visa is closing its headquarters at 595 Market Street and moving about 100 employees back to its Foster City campus come October 1st. The move "just makes sense" said Erica Harvill, head of external media relations for Visa, because it's part of Visa's bigger plan started in 2007 to consolidate operations. The vast majority of the company's employees are in Foster City. The move will leave the top three floors of the 30-floor building vacant. [SF Business TImes]
