John King talks about the London Olympics' landscaping, designed by San Francisco's Hargreaves Associates. It seems the Olympic Delivery Authority (tasked with making the Games happen, not with packages) was unhappy with early designs by another firm, scrapped them, and brought in Hargreaves to re-imagine it. The results include the largest field of wildflowers planted in the UK and reducing the planned hardscape in what will, after the Games, becomes a riverfront public park. There's a gallery of images that do not include anyone in Speedos, plus news of a kerfuffle over some moveable panels at the Federal Building.
