This week's Tenant Troubles deals with a hilarious situation (to us) where a landlord is insisting that they own a pot rack and some curtain rods that a tenant who's moving out installed because the "upgrade" was not in the lease and therefore is now part of the house. Assuming that the tenant can patch up the walls and install the previously used curtain rods (because there was no pot rack to begin with), the tenant's security deposit shouldn't be in jeopardy, right? Head over to the SF Appeal to see what advice Dave Crow, an attorney who specializes in San Francisco landlord tenant law, has to say. [SF Appeal/photo via Shutterstock]
